Hello there!

Welcome to Central! My name is Bayo Ogungbade and I’m the pastor here at Central. I’m so glad you found us!

Just to tell you a little about myself, I graduated with my Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University (Go Rams!) with concentrations in religion, mass communications, and entrepreneurship. I received my Master of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary.

I have a deep passion for helping people grow in their faith and discover God’s purpose for their lives. I’ve centered my ministry around discipleship, innovative approaches to ministry, and journeying with people as they discover new ways to live out their faith. I also care greatly about investing in youth and young adults, and I currently serve as the founder and leader of Vibrant Life, a growing midweek young adult community here in the city of
Richmond. If you’re a young adult looking for community, come check us out on a Wednesday night sometime!

 

I’m married to Ledya, the love of my life, and we recently welcomed our daughter, Gracie. She’s our little bundle of joy!
 

Outside of ministry, I enjoy traveling, watching and playing sports, exploring the RVA food scene, listening to just about any genre of music, playing/watching sports, and connecting with new people.
